Chatham & Chatham Bars Inn Extend Fish Pier Parking Lot Lease

Good news for those of us who love the fish pier!

The town of Chatham and the Chatham Bars Inn have agreed to a one-year lease extension that allows fishermen to continue using a large section of the lower parking lot at the municipal fish pier. In return, CBI will continue exclusive use of several parking spaces in the upper parking lot.

Town officials hope to continue negotiating with the resort for a more permanent solution to the problem of the inn owning a large parcel right in the middle of the commercial fish off-loading facility, considered critical to the continued survival of the town's fishing fleet.
