Forest Beach Chatham MA
Forest Beach is a small family Nantucket Sound Beach with calm waters, mostly visited by local cottage owners. It's adjacent to Pleasant St. beach and has free parking for a limited amount of cars on a first-come first-served basis. This beach makes for a wonderful escape from the crowds and is a great beach for family outings.
Other bonuses here are the sandy nature trail directly behind the beach, which travels east toward Cockle Cove Beach, and the historic site of the Chatham Marconi radio tower, situated to the left of the trail. And, it is convenient sunset for a moonlight stroll for those living or renting nearby. You may ignore the "Beach closes at 10pm" sign if you walk! Directions: Take Route 28 in Chatham to Forest Street.
